About the Dispute Practice
Our Dispute Practice represents clients in local and international arbitration and litigation before Cambodian courts, as well as mediation, enforcement proceedings, investigations and other contentious matters. We act on complex commercial and regulatory disputes across a broad range of industries and invite qualified, motivated and commercially minded candidates to apply for the following roles.
The opportunity
We are looking for accomplished Cambodian-qualified lawyers to take an active role in high-value and complex disputes. Successful candidates will help lead litigation and local and international arbitration matters, shape case strategy and deliver practical, commercially focused advice to clients.
Key responsibilities
- Represent the firm’s clients before courts, arbitral tribunals, government authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Advise clients on dispute avoidance, litigation strategy, arbitration, enforcement and settlement options.
- Prepare and draft pleadings, petitions, legal submissions, witness statements, legal opinions and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and analyse complex factual and legal issues.
- Attend hearings, arbitrations, mediations, negotiations and client meetings.
- Manage matters and contribute to case strategy, evidence planning and procedural compliance.
- Participate in networking and business development activities.
- Work collaboratively with other lawyers and supervise junior team members where appropriate.
What we are looking for
- Master’s Degree in Law from an accredited law school is preferred.
- Licensed to practise law in Cambodia as a member of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
- At least three years of experience practising law after graduating from lawyers training school in Cambodia, with a strong preference for experience in civil and criminal procedures, litigation or arbitration.
- Strong advocacy, legal drafting, negotiation, analytical and research skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters independently and work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to confidentiality, professional ethics and high-quality client service.
- Strong written and spoken English and Khmer; Chinese language capability is an advantage.
The opportunity
We are looking for ambitious lawyers who want to build a strong foundation in litigation and local and international arbitration. Associates will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex commercial, regulatory and cross-border disputes.
Key responsibilities
- Assist partners and senior lawyers on litigation, arbitration, regulatory and investigation matters.
- Conduct legal and factual research and prepare concise research notes and case analyses.
- Draft legal memoranda, opinions, submissions, correspondence and procedural documents.
- Review contracts, evidence and factual records and identify issues relevant to disputes.
- Assist with evidence management, document review, hearing preparation and witness preparation.
- Attend court hearings, arbitration proceedings, client meetings and conferences as required.
- Support knowledge management, training, networking and business development initiatives.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Law from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Strong academic record and demonstrated interest in litigation, arbitration or commercial law.
- Prior experience in a law firm or legal environment is preferred.
- Strong legal research, analysis and drafting skills.
- Strong written and spoken English and Khmer; Chinese language capability is an advantage.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Commitment to confidentiality, professional ethics and continuous learning.
- Holding relevant memberships, accreditations, or licenses with Cambodian regulators is an advantage.
The opportunity
We are looking for organised, proactive and detail-oriented paralegals to support lawyers across litigation and local and international arbitration matters. The role offers practical exposure to case preparation, evidence management, filings and hearing support.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and assist with factual and document review.
- Assist with case preparation, filing and procedural or administrative requirements.
- Prepare first drafts of correspondence, chronologies, summaries and routine legal documents.
- Organise case files, evidence, hearing bundles and document databases.
- Coordinate administrative filings and communications with courts, arbitral institutions, government authorities and clients.
- Monitor deadlines, maintain matter records and provide logistical support for hearings and meetings.
- Provide general administrative and legal support to lawyers handling disputes and arbitrations.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, or current enrolment as a final-year law student.
- Strong research, analytical and organisational skills.
- Strong written and spoken English and Khmer; Chinese language capability is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Prior experience in a law firm or legal environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work under pressure.
