Acted for Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia) Limited (“ICBC (Asia) Limited“) in the additional security package (hypothec over long-term leases) on the financing of the acquisition and construction of a coal power plant by a Chinese power company in Sihanouk Province in Cambodia. This is a high impact and complex financing deal of great significance for improving Cambodia’s power supply structure and perfecting Cambodia’s power infrastructure by shortening the supply gap at lower price, with multiple parties and various types of security involved in the making. Partners Heng Chhay and Tiv Sophonnora led the transaction.
