Looking Back: 2024
In 2024, Cambodia issued a series of significant regulatory updates across various sectors. Notable developments include new corporate governance requirements for insurance companies, guidelines for reinsurance practices, tax incentives for voluntary rectification of tax returns, and exemption on stamp duty tax for first-time homebuyers. More regulations were also introduced to address emerging sectors like cryptoassets, define unfair business practices in advertising and promotions, and provide dispute resolution mechanisms within the social security system. Additionally, measures were also implemented to enforce the code of ethics for professional journalism and establish qualifications for human resources personnel in labour, social security, and vocational training, with the aim of strengthening legal compliance across Cambodia.

- Draft Law on Cybersecurity;
- Draft Land Law;

- Draft Law on Product Liability
- Draft Law on Access to Information;
- Draft Law on the Amendment of Law on Suppression of Gambling; and
- Draft Law on the Provisional Disposition of Seized Items.
